Orissa Government announces 10% D.A for employees


Report by Orissa Diary correspondent; Bhubaneswar: In view of increase of Dearness Allowance (D.A) of the Central government employees, The State government has announced 10% Dearness Allowance (D.A) for the employees and officers of the state government on Tuesday. The employees and officers of the state government will get 45% D.A instead of 35%. About 6 lakh employees of the state government will be benefitted.


As per the finance department, it will be effective from the month of last July. The retired employees and officers also get the benefit. The state government is to incur extra Rs 900 crore for the same. The employees and the officers will get it from the month of November and the arrears will be paid in installment.

Retirement age of State Government Employees of ODISHA may be enhanced to 62 years.

If central govt. can increase the retirement age of its employee then why can't our state govt. won't. It should be increase from 58years to 62years.
